Connecting physicians during COVID-19

TigerConnect Announces New COVID-19 Physician Secure Messaging Network

For most of us, these are unprecedented times in healthcare. We are facing a threat to our society and way of life that we’ve never before experienced.

Communicating clearly, efficiently, and effectively has never been more important. Timely and accurate communication can save the lives of patients and also of those dedicated and brave souls that are on the front lines of this pandemic.

As the spread of SARS-Cov-2 has intensified, we’ve heard from many physicians that communication around COVID-19 is challenging. Physicians of all types want to be able to communicate with each other across the country about treatment protocols, what’s working (and what’s not), mitigation strategies, and ways to protect ourselves.

To answer the call, we’ve built a COVID-19 Physician Secure Messaging Network where verified, pre-screened physicians can communicate and exchange information in a HIPAA-compliant, secure environment about all of the issues related to COVID-19.

Quick facts about our COVID-19 network

  • It provides secure, encrypted messaging forums for all US physicians who want to participate
  • The network facilitates shared information for COVID-19 cases including personal protective equipment (PPE), treatment options, resources, and others
  • Members are verified physicians and are manually checked by our team
  • Information sharing takes place via public forums while offline conversations take place within the app one-on-one or via private groups
  • The app is free for you to download to your iPhone/Android smartphone and accessible securely on a desktop through a web browser
  • The network is available not just to existing TigerConnect client physician users but to any front line physicians even if they aren’t currently on our platform

It’s easy to get started – just click here and type in your provider work email, full name, and organization name. You’ll receive a “Welcome” email with login instructions as soon as your TigerConnect account is set up.

Once onboard, you’ll have access to multiple forums and discussions, as well as a network of current TigerConnect users.

The forums give you direct access to urgent and emerging frontline information while providing a healthcare provider-only platform free of sensationalism and media hype.

Topics include:

  • COVID-19 Clinical Trials
  • Personal Protection Equipment
  • COVID-19 Screening Protocols
  • Telehealth Strategies
  • Stress Management, Coping Strategies, and Moral Support
  • COVID-19 Medications & Efficacy
  • COVID-19 Testing & Test Kits
  • Medical Ethics
  • Imaging
  • Lab Tests and Results
  • Rural COVID-19 Management
  • Pediatrics
  • News and Links

Watching the events unfold over the past few weeks, it’s clear that the accurate, actionable, and timely communication of information during this pandemic will save lives. We felt it was urgently important to make this resource available so that frontline professionals like you can collaborate and share your learnings on a safe platform with colleagues from around the country.

Communication in healthcare has traditionally been slow and fragmented. Sometimes the best ideas take weeks, months, or even years to take hold. This disease is moving too quickly to do things the old way. We need to move even quicker if we hope to succeed.

We believe the collective minds of healthcare in this nation, focused on the singular purpose of defeating COVID-19, will be a historic and extraordinary response. It is our wish that the sharing and collaboration that happens here leads to something extraordinary.

We are confident that it will.
