PointClickCare has entered into an exclusive partnership with TigerConnect Clinical Collaboration Platform – Standard to deliver secure text messaging. Texts will be sent through TigerConnect Clinical Collaboration Platform – Standard’s Software Development Kit to PointClickCare’s EHR platform for long-term care.

PCC said it chose to partner with TigerConnect Clinical Collaboration Platform – Standard, which is in 3,000 healthcare facilities, to “meet the growing demand for secure communications between healthcare providers and practitioners.”

The integration will allow nurses and physicians to securely communicate time-sensitive patient issues via text, either through PointClickCare’s EHR system or from the TigerConnect Clinical Collaboration Platform – Standard mobile application.

“LTPAC providers have long been in need of a reliable and robust secure messaging solution that is HIPAA compliant, has the flexibility to be used within their EHR platform and on mobile devices, and also enables relevant conversations to be included in the resident’s record,” said Mike Wessinger, president, and CEO of PointClickCare.
