TigerConnect Subpoena Policy

TigerConnect’s Privacy Policy provides that it will not release personal or personally-identifying information about subscribers, including Message Data submitted by subscribers, without the subscriber’s consent except when required by law, to conform to the edicts of the law, or to comply with legal process properly served on TigerConnect and only to the extent that such information is retrievable pursuant to TigerConnect’s operating policy.


If you seek the identity, account information or Message Data relating to a TigerConnect subscriber in connection with a civil (as opposed to criminal) legal matter, you must serve TigerConnect with a valid civil subpoena or court order at the address below and agree to compensate TigerConnect for our subpoena response services according to the terms of this policy.


TigerConnect will respond to requests for subscriber information by law enforcement agencies in accordance with applicable U.S. law:

• A valid subpoena, court order or administrative summons issued in connection with an official criminal investigation is required to compel the disclosure of basic subscriber records, which may include, if available: usernames, account information, email addresses, mobile telephone numbers, metadata, and other data that does not include actual message content.
• A search warrant issued under the procedures described in the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure or equivalent state warrant procedures upon a showing of probable cause is required to compel the disclosure of the stored contents of any account, if available, which may include actual message content.

For Non-U.S. Law Enforcement requests, TigerConnect will respond to properly-served requests that are issued by a U.S. court either by way of a mutual legal assistance treaty or a letter rogatory.


All requests must identify requested records with particularity. We will be unable to process overly broad or vague requests. Send all subpoenas and court orders seeking subscriber information by U.S. certified mail to:

Requests from law enforcement may be submitted by an email to support@tigerconnect.com, identifying the name of the issuing authority, badge/ID number of responsible agent, email address from a law-enforcement domain, and direct contact phone number. (Only emails from law enforcement domains will be accepted. All other emails will be disregarded. Non-law enforcement requests should be sent as set forth above).


Upon receipt of a valid subpoena in a civil case, TigerConnect’s policy is to reasonably attempt to notify the subscriber whose information is sought. Subscribers objecting to the disclosure of the requested information may wish to consult an attorney. Prior to responding, TigerConnect may require the requesting parting to provide a copy of supporting documentation demonstrating the materiality of the information requested.

Unless otherwise legally required, in non-emergency circumstances, TigerConnect will ordinarily not produce the requested information, if available, before fifteen (15) days after receipt of the subpoena, provided that the subscriber at issue does not present TigerConnect with notice of having filed a motion to quash the subpoena or otherwise seeking similar protection from a court. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, TigerConnect reserves the right to respond to requests in any amount of time as it deems appropriate according to the volume of the request. TigerConnect further reserves the right to object to the request on any applicable grounds.


TigerConnect charges the following rates for compliance with civil subpoenas and other legal processes regardless of whether or not any information is produced. The requesting party shall be responsible for reimbursing TigerConnect’s costs as follows:

• Research and compliance to request — $75 per hour;
• Shipping charges at TigerConnect’s cost
• $.25 cents per copy

For subpoenas and other legal processes that require substantial effort by TigerConnect to respond, TigerConnect reserves the right to collect an estimated fee amount in advance. Unless paid in advance, payment must be made within thirty (30) days of the date of the receipt of the invoice. Checks are payable to Tigerconnect, Inc.


TigerConnect evaluates emergency disclosure requests on a case-by-case basis and will respond as it deems appropriate under the circumstances.


TigerConnect reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion the applicability of this policy to any particular request. This policy does not create any enforceable legal rights, either for TigerConnect subscribers or for requesting parties. Receipt by any of the methods set forth above is for convenience only and does not waive any objections, including the lack of jurisdiction or proper service.
