Sean Flynn, Partner at Shasta Ventures, Steve Yecies, Venture Partner at OrbiMed and Vijay Lathi, Managing Director at New Leaf Ventures, join company’s Board.
SANTA MONICA, CA (April 15, 2014) – TigerConnect Clinical Collaboration Platform – Standard, the leader in secure, real-time messaging for the enterprise, today announced the addition of three new board members: Sean Flynn, Partner at Shasta Ventures, Steve Yecies, Venture Partner at OrbiMed and Vijay Lathi, Managing Director at New Leaf Ventures. The new members are seasoned investors with a depth of startup and industry experience, and will provide guidance to the company’s management during this time of rapid growth.

Sean Flynn, Partner at Shasta Ventures, invests across the consumer internet and enterprise software sectors, with a particular interest in mobile-focused technologies. He serves on the board of online video software platform ZEFR, payment and analytics provider Swipely, and corporate subscription flower business H.Bloom. He also led Shasta’s investment in TaskRabbit, DollarShaveClub, and the mobile-first banking alternative Simple. Flynn joined Shasta after working at Yahoo as the company’s senior director of business development and business operations where he focused on growing the company’s communication and community products. Prior to Yahoo, Flynn was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, where he advised technology, telecom, and media companies. He holds a BA in economics from Brown University.
As Venture Partner at OrbiMed, Steve Yecies brings over 20 years of experience as an investor, consultant, entrepreneur and senior manager in the healthcare information technology and healthcare services sectors. Most recently, he founded and ran Chronic Health Capital and serves on the Board of Dicom Grid and as an advisor to integrated health systems. Yecies founded and operated the global health and wellness business at Scient (Nasdaq: SCNT) where he built several first-generation e-health businesses. He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, a J.D. from U.C. Berkeley Law School and received his A.B. in Government from Dartmouth College.
Vijay Lathi serves as Managing Director at New Leaf Venture Partners where he focuses on information convergence and diagnostics investments. He currently serves on the boards of several NLV portfolio companies, including Awarepoint, iRhythm Technologies, Kitcheck Health, and Oxford Immunotech (OXFD). Lathi joined Sprout in 1998, and was part of the team that spun out of Sprout in 2005 to form New Leaf. Prior to joining Sprout, he worked as an analyst in the Healthcare Venture Capital Group at Robertson Stephens & Co. and Cornerstone Research, a consulting firm focused on financial and economic analysis for business litigation. Vijay graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University where he received his B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering.
