TigerText adds two new members to its board to help drive continued company growth.
SANTA MONICA, CA (December 11, 2013) – TigerText, the leader in secure, real-time messaging for the enterprise, today announced the addition of Cornerstone OnDemand, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSOD), Co-founder and CFO, Perry Wallack and Dr. Andrew Brooks to its board of directors, as the company enters its next phase of growth. Brooks and Wallack will provide strategic input on corporate and business development initiatives and executive guidance for the company’s growing leadership team.
As co-founder and CFO of Cornerstone OnDemand, and with over 20 years experience in finance, accounting, tax, and operations, Perry Wallack brings a wealth of expertise in several strategic and financial disciplines. Wallack has played a key role in growing Cornerstone from inception to becoming one of the largest and most successful SaaS companies in the world. He has successfully raised public and private equity and debt and commercial bank financing to sustain Cornerstone’s growth since November 1999. Additionally, he held an integral role as the CFO for Cornerstone’s successful IPO in 2011.
Prior to co-founding TigerText in 2010, Dr. Andrew Brooks founded Specialty Surgical Center, which sold to Symbion (NASDAQ: SMBI) in 2005 as well as Cardo Medical, Inc., a publicly traded orthopedic device company that was acquired by Arthrex in 2011. Dr. Brooks is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons with a specialty in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and joint reconstruction. With more than two decades of medical practice, Dr. Brooks brings both a clinical and entrepreneurial perspective to the TigerText board.
“We’re honored and excited to have Perry Wallack and Dr. Andrew Brooks join our board of directors,” said Brad Brooks, co-founder and CEO of TigerText. “They both bring unique skills that will help us across our various strategic initiatives. Dr. Brooks’ deep knowledge of the healthcare industry from a clinician’s point of view makes him an extremely valuable resource while Wallack’s experience growing Cornerstone to be one of the largest SaaS enterprise-focused companies in the world will provide us with an additional level of sage advice and perspective as our company enters its next phase of growth.”
“Throughout my career, I have chosen board appointments very carefully, and I see a tremendous opportunity to help TigerText,” said Perry Wallack, Co-founder and CFO of Cornerstone OnDemand. “As the company continues to drive toward enterprise success with its ephemeral communication technology, I look forward to offering my expertise and guidance.”
“I’m excited to join the TigerText board and have the opportunity to help deliver the greatest possible impact to patients, the medical community, and return for investors with TigerText’s leading enterprise secure messaging platform,” said Dr. Andrew Brooks. “I look forward to working with the board and management to help TigerText continue its phenomenal growth.”
