John Elms, Chief Strategy Officer

John Elms is the Chief Strategy Officer at TigerConnect where he’s responsible for developing and overseeing the company's strategic planning, partnerships, corporate development, M&A activities, and health communication and collaboration product offerings. Prior to TigerConnect, John served as CEO of Critical Alert and was credited with transforming the company from a niche-market provider of traditional nurse call systems to an enterprise software company focused on care team collaboration managing all facets of patient communication originating from the bedside. His experience leading Critical Alert has been applied within TigerConnect, and he will continue overseeing the integration of both platforms since Critical Alert’s acquisition in 2021. John brings more than 25 years of executive leadership in the high-tech industry to his role at TigerConnect, including CEO roles at a public company, venture-backed startups, and his own entrepreneurial ventures including Connexall USA, Azalea Networks, and SpectraLink. He is a former Chairman of the American Electronics Association Mountain States Council and a member of the AeA national board. John holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts with honors from Harvard University. He is conversant in Mandarin Chinese with reading and writing skills at the upper-intermediate level.
