Effective Sept. 1, 2022, TigerConnect customers must use a mobile device (phone, tablet) with the following minimum operating system (OS) requirements will be unable to install future releases of the TigerConnect application:
*Google has increased emphasis on security and privacy for their users. To leverage these improvements, TigerConnect users are requested to stay more current with the Android OS used on their devices.

This helps ensure effective support for the operating system versions that most TigerConnect users are on.
Focusing on the newer versions allows TigerConnect to use the latest technologies to improve the product’s performance and stability
Users can still access the TigerConnect app on an unsupported OS version but will be unable to update to newer versions of the TigerConnect app which will include valuable updates and new features.
Locate your current operating system version in your phone’s settings. This is typically found in an “about phone” section of the settings menu, but each phone may be different. If you require assistance, contact your in-house IT administrator.

Users can continue using previously installed versions of TigerConnect but will not be able to update to newer versions of the TigerConnect app and may not be able to access important updates or new features.

Backing up your data is an essential part of upgrading your operating system (OS), but this feature should be on by default and requires almost no user input on mobile devices.
Automatic updates can be enabled within the mobile operating system or managed by your enterprise mobility management solution.
